For the sunken apple pie, first cream butter and mix with sugar. Add 4 egg yolks and flour, mix thoroughly. Beat 4 egg whites until stiff and stir in.
Rinse apple, peel and cut into eighths. Put apples on top (if you like, you can add raisins) and bake in a heated oven at 175 °C for about 45 minutes.
The sunken apple pie is ready when you poke it with a wooden stick and nothing sticks to the wooden stick inside.
