For American Christmas cookies, mix the butter with both sugars. Stir in the egg. Mix flour with baking soda, pine nuts and chocolate and stir into butter mixture.
Cut cookies from the dough with a teaspoon, place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and press flat.
Bake in heated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 6-8 min. Let American Christmas cookies cool and store in a tightly closing tin.
