Instructions:

First, in a large saucepan, heat the oil. Add the flour and stir vigorously.

Pour in about 200 ml of water and stir until there are no more lumps of flour.

Add the lentils and a crumbled bouillon cube to this liquid. Then add a dash of vinegar and stir vigorously again.

For the bread dumplings, mix the bread cubes, the egg, the milk, the flour and the spices to a mass. Form dumplings of about 5 cm and cook for about 15 minutes.

As a garnish, cut the bacon into small cubes, fry in a pan and add over the lentils before serving.
