Brik – Dumplings with Muenster Cheese and Figs

Instructions:

Cut the cheese with rind into approx. 1 cm x 1 cm cubes.

Roll the cheese cubes in the herb mixture and the caraway seeds.

Cut the pastry sheets into rectangles about 15 cm wide, then cut them diagonally in the middle (= triangle shape) and brush with egg white.

Fill the dough triangles with the cheese cubes. Place a cilantro leaf in each dough pocket so that it is visible through the dough.

Cut the figs in half and sauté briefly with the pepper honey and pine nuts. Extinguish with wine vinegar. Set the liquid aside.

Quickly brown the dumplings in the frying pan.

Divide the dumplings and figs evenly on plates and pour the roasting liquid of the figs over them.
