Put 700 ml of milk, vanilla sugar and 5 tablespoons of sugar together in a large saucepan and heat the mixture slowly until the sugar is completely dissolved in the milk.

Mix well 300 ml of milk, yolks, custard powder and flour and stir into the milk, cook until a thick mixture is formed.

Beat egg whites with 2 tablespoons sugar until stiff and gently stir into the hot mixture.
