Instructions:

For the chocolate banana slices, first beat the yolks, sugar, vanilla sugar, oil and water until foamy.

Sift the flour and baking powder together and fold into the mixture.

Now beat the egg whites to snow and also fold in carefully. Spread the mixture on a greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 15-20 minutes. Allow to cool.

Now spread the sliced bananas evenly on the cake.

For the cream, now prepare 1 package of vanilla pudding, as described on the package, but with 60 g sugar and 1/2 l milk. Allow the cream to cool, stirring frequently to prevent a skin from forming.

In the meantime, whip 250 g butter (room temperature) for a good 10 minutes until creamy and white like whipped cream. Add the cooled pudding by the tablespoonful. Make sure that neither the butter nor the pudding is too cold, otherwise the cream will curdle.

Now spread the cream evenly on the bananas. Make a glaze from about 300 g household chocolate and about 100 g butter/coconut fat in a water bath and coat the cake with it. Cut the chocolate banana slices into pieces immediately before the chocolate sets!

Preparation Tip:

The chocolate banana slices taste especially good if you spread a tart jam on the still warm dough and only then layer the bananas on top.
