For the cornbread, first sift and mix both flours and baking powder. In a second bowl, mix the eggs, sugar and salt, add the softened butter alternately with the milk to the egg mixture and stir everything into the flour mixture. Knead into a smooth dough.

Grease a loaf pan, pour in the dough and cut lengthwise with a knife.

Bake the cornbread in the preheated oven (middle shelf) at 180 °C for 50-60 minutes until golden brown. Test with a wooden stick and continue baking until the dough no longer sticks to the wooden stick.
