For the couscous tuna patties, first heat the oven to 190 degrees. Bring the water to a boil in a pot. Add the bouillon cube to the water. Place the couscous in a large bowl and pour the boiling soup over it and let it swell for a few minutes (according to package directions).

When the couscous has finished rising, loosen it up a bit with 2 dashes of olive oil and a fork. Strain the tuna from the cans and break it up a bit in a bowl so that you don’t have too big pieces.

Now add the eggs, the cheese, the garlic powder, some salt and the tuna to the couscous and mix everything well, preferably with your hands. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

With wet hands, take portions of the mixture about the size of a child’s fist and shape them into round, compact loaves. Bake the couscous tuna loafs in the oven for about 30 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

These couscous tuna patties go well with a refreshing salad or a creamy chive sauce.
