For the fragrant rice, first cool the rice in a sieve until the water runs off clear. Then drain well and mix with salt and cold water in a saucepan.

On the kitchen stove, bring the rice to a boil in an open saucepan over high heat and stir briefly. Turn off the stove top, cover the cooking pot and let the long grain rice swell on the still hot plate for 8-10 minutes.

Then briefly loosen and bring the fragrant rice to the table.

Preparation Tip:

If using a gas stove, after bringing the fragrant rice to the boil, cook it lightly in a closed saucepan over the lowest heat for another 10 minutes, then remove it from the stove and let it stand until it is al dente.
