For the garlic salt, cut the garlic bulb and peel the garlic cloves. Finely grind in a blender with half of the salt. You should get a smooth paste.

Mix this paste with the remaining salt and spread it on a baking tray – covered with baking paper. Leave to dry in the oven at 50 °C. Clamp a cooking spoon or a folded dish towel in the door to allow the moisture to escape.

After 3 to 4 hours the salt should be completely dry. Now mix the resulting salt lumps again in a blender or grind them in a mortar.

Preparation Tip:

Add dried herbs or chili flakes to the garlic salt if desired. This makes a great aromatic mixture to refine your dishes.
