* Knead the yeast, flour, salt, sugar, milk and eggs into a dough for 20 min.
* Finally add the butter, bacon, walnuts and onions. Let the dough rise for an hour and a half.
* Fill in the dough and let it rise for another hour and a half.
* Preheat the oven to 190 °C.
* Bake the cake for one hour.
Tip: For a 750-gram Gugelhupf you need 850-gram dough, for a 500-gram Gugelhupf 600 grams of dough and for a small Gugelhupf of 300 grams 370 grams of dough. Small cakes only need a baking time of about 45 min.
