For the Indian style grilled halibut, first peel and finely chop the onion and garlic for the marinade. Finely grate the ginger. Squeeze the lemon. Mix all ingredients for the marinade.

Put the halibut in the marinade for a few minutes. Turn once in between.

Preheat the grill of the oven. Cover a baking tray with baking paper. Lift the halibut out of the marinade, drain and place on the grill rack. Slide the tray underneath. Grill for 4-5 minutes, flip the grilled Indian style halibut then grill for another 4-5 minutes. The halibut can also be prepared on the grill.

Preparation Tip:

Indian style grilled halibut is best served with rice.
