Instructions:

For the marzipan macaroons, quickly knead the shortcrust pastry together and let it rest for 1/2 hour. Roll out the dough to a thickness of approx. 3 mm and cut out round cookies. Pre-bake them in the preheated oven at 170 degrees for about 5 minutes.

For the macaroon mixture, grate the marzipan and mix well with all the other ingredients of the macaroon mixture. Place a small mound of the macaroon mixture on each of the pre-baked, cooled cookies and decorate with 1/4 of a cherry.

Bake the cookies again for 10 minutes at 170 degrees. After the cookies have cooled, dip the bottom of the marzipan macaroons in chocolate icing.

Preparation Tip:

Instead of the cherry, you can also put blanched almonds on the marzipan macaroons.
