Instructions:

For the moussaka, wash the melanzani and tomatoes, pat dry, remove the stalks and cut into slices (about 1 cm thick). Wash the bell bell pepper, remove the seeds and cut into rings.

Put 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan, let it get hot and fry the melanzan slices and pepper rings briefly. Set aside. Mix the minced meat with the chopped onions, garlic and parsley, season with salt and pepper.

Then fry this meat mixture in hot fat as well, stir well and then simmer in the juices until all the gravy has cooked off. Preheat the oven to 200 °C.

Season the vegetables with basil and thyme. Now layer the vegetables and the meat in a baking dish and sprinkle with the cheese. Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes.

The cheese should be golden brown.

Preparation Tip:

The moussaka goes well with fresh white bread.
