Instructions:

Put the sugar in a saucepan. Rinse the oranges in hot water, dry them and peel the peel thinly. Squeeze both fruits. Add the orange peel and juice to the sugar and bring to the boil. Continue boiling until the liquid is almost reduced. Remove orange peel.

Add nuts and fold in. Set mixture aside to cool. Add the rum and stir through. Pour into 2 hot rinsed jars form and seal.

Stored in a dark place and cooled, will keep for 3-4 weeks.
