Prepare the beans ready for cooking. Blanch in enough boiling water for five minutes. Drain, rinse with cold water and drain.

Peel and slice the onion and garlic. In a rather wide frying pan, sauté in olive oil until light yellow. Add the pelati tomatoes, bring to the boil and season with salt and pepper.

Add the beans to the tomato sauce and cook for twenty to twenty-five minutes over medium heat with the lid on. Season if necessary.

Season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil. Roast on the broiler or in a skillet without adding more fat on both sides for a total of four to five min.
