Instructions:

Mix flour with baking powder, sift onto the table top and make a dent in the center of the flour. Pour in salt, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar and egg (leave 2 tsp egg whites) and mix with some of the flour to form a thick porridge. Cut butter into pieces, put on the porridge form, cover with flour and from the center quickly knead all ingredients together until smooth.

Divide the dough in half, knead orange peel and candied orange peel into one half of the dough and rum and chocolate flakes into the other half.

Roll 4 sticks 32 cm long from each piece of dough. Flatten one side of each dough to form a triangle. Brush with the beaten egg mixture left behind. Now assemble one orange stick and one chocolate stick so that each forms a rectangular stick. Cover the dough rectangles with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

Cut the bars into slices just under 1/2 cm thick and place on a baking tray lined with baking parchment. Bake at 200 degrees for about 12 minutes.

Tip: Do you prefer milk chocolate or dark chocolate? Depending on the case, use whichever tastes better to you.
